Germany’s Football Demise

Germany has gone from the most fear team in international football a laughing stock. Four years ago, Germany won the World Cup in Brazil and today they have lost 7 of their last 10 international games with two wins. With some of the opponents being strong such as this years World Cup winner France but many of the teams have been weak including South Korea, Mexico, Austria, and the Netherlands. This also included dropping out of the group stage of the World Cup, which is embarrassing for a national team the quality of Germany.

The future is not looking bright for the Germans. They have had some of their top players retire, for example Mesut Ozil retired earlier this year and they are constantly receiving bad results. The Germans need to turn things around soon if they want to see better results and have a good performance in the European Championship.

My Opinion:

Germany need to make a change. There are two ways that they can go about that, fire their manager, Joachim Low, or they can change out all of their own players. I think that they need to change out their players. The players who were in their prime four years ago are now dead weight for the national team.  They need to play good young players like Leroy Sane. If this doesn’t work the only option is to sack their manager. Sacking a manager can usually turn a team around and improve results. It might be the wrong decision now but it might have to be done in the future to fix their problems.
