With 26 points after 17 games and countless horrible performances, Manchester United and Jose Mourinho have parted ways. This was one of the worst starts in the clubs history with them sitting in 6th place well away from the top 4. The club has little left to salvage for the rest of the season, except for their pride.
Jose Mourinho deserved to be fired. He had a horrible time a Manchester United especially this season. He had completely lost all of the players. None of the players wanted to play for him anymore and it was time for him to go.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a club legend has been hired to replace him as caretaker manager. Recently he has been working for Molde in Norway as their manager. He has done a decent job but it is not clear how he will perform for one of the top clubs in the world, with his lack of experience.
My Opinion
It was the right choice to fire Jose. He was doing a terrible job. If you look back at my previous post about the lack of success from Manchester United you will see that I predicted he would be gone by Christmas, and I was right. I think Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a good appointment, he will improve the quality of the team making them much more fun to watch with his attacking style soccer. I am excited to see what Manchester United will do for the rest of the season.
