Chelsea has signed Christian Pulisic, a 20-year-old American from Borussia Dortmund for $73 million. Although he will not join the club until the summer he is a wonderful signing from a results standpoint and a business standpoint. He is one of the best upcoming young talents in the world.

So far this season Pulisic has 6 goals and 5 assists in 21 starts. Those are not outstanding numbers but he has lots of potential as he is still only 20. This signing is also very good for the club from a business standpoint as he will bring more American interest in the club. Pulisic is an American favorite because he is the only good player that they have had for a long time.

My Opinion

Pulisic is a great signing. Although he did come with an expensive price he will be a great player for the club. The club will generate massive income from the interest from the relatively untapped American market. I am very interested to see how he performs when he joins the club in the summer. Hopefully, Maurizio Sarri can find some great improvement in the youngster next season.
