Cesc Fabregas signed with AS Monaco earlier this week. Fabregas has had a rough start to the 2018-19 season with his lack of playing time making only one start in the Premier League under new Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri. It was time for the second all-time assister in the Premier League to move to a new club.
This season AS Monaco have been dreadful having a severe fall from grace after losing many of their players due to transfers and injury. Monaco currently sit at 19th in the Ligue 1 with only 3 wins out of 19 games this season. Thierry Henry a very inexperienced manager was supposed to help them get back to their former heights but has yet to do so.
The question is will Fabregas help them to get out of the relegation zone?
My Opinion
Fabregas will help. Even though he is not his former World Cup winning self but he will improve the team greatly. Fabregas is still a great player even though he is past his prime. Will it be enough to save the struggling French team from relegation, probably. They have enough good players to not be in this place to start with and the addition of Fabregas will only help their case and save them from relegation.
