The first leg of the Champions League Semifinals is complete. Barcelona ended the night ahead with 3 goals at home. Liverpool was the better team on the night unlucky to not score. Messi was the best player on the day, leading his team to victory.
Messi scored 2 goals one of which was a beautiful free kick. He scored his 600th Barcelona goal, only just barely behind his rival Ronaldo. Suarez scored the first goal of the night to start off the Barcelona offense.
The next meeting between the two is on Tuesday. It is a hard road for Liverpool to come back from their first loss, especially with their main man Salah out with injury. Even though they are back at Anfield the next game it is going to be incredibly difficult to come back from 3-0 down.
